Pennsylvania is known as one of the deadliest states in the country for motorists. These days, it feels like just getting from one point to another is like running a treacherous gauntlet. Motor vehicle accidents are inevitably going to happen. It’s not a question of if, but when.
Deadly 2-vehicle crash
Recently in Harrisburg, two people were killed and several people were injured in a bad accident involving two vehicles. The accident happened during the evening hours on Cameron Street near Shanois Street. According to reports, the driver of a northbound car crossed over into the southbound lanes for unknown reasons and crashed head-on into a car that was headed south.
Tragically, authorities said a passenger in the southbound car died from injuries suffered in the crash. Reportedly, the driver of the northbound car was also killed in the accident. Other people were injured in the crash, but their conditions were not disclosed. Harrisburg police said their Traffic Safety Unit is currently investigating the accident.
Options for victims and families
It goes without saying that no person wants to be involved in a crash of any kind. The experience and aftermath of a serious or fatal accident can be life-altering and devastating for victims and families. Those in Pennsylvania who have been injured or suffered the loss of a loved one due to negligence in motor vehicle accidents could benefit by speaking with an experienced and trusted attorney. A lawsuit, if successful, could result in victims and families receiving much-needed financial relief and, many times, a sense of justice.
