Motor vehicle collisions can occur in any number of ways with any number of vehicles. Sometimes, car accidents may only involve one car at a time. Such is the case in a recent Pennsylvania crash that resulted in the injury of a man and the death of a woman.
According to police, the driver of the car was speeding prior to the accident. While doing so, his vehicle ran into a parked car, and the impact sent his vehicle over the river bank. The car then went into the river with a water temperature that was reportedly in the low 30s.
Emergency responders were able to pull the driver out of the submerging car. For reasons that are still unclear, he then fled the scene on foot, only to be located a short time later and taken to the hospital. It took rescue crews about half an hour to extract the passenger, after which she was transported to the hospital. Tragically, she was pronounced dead upon arrival.
