Shopper files lawsuit after falling and sustaining injuries

Residents and those who visit the state of Pennsylvania luckily have a myriad of dining and shopping opportunities. There are a multitude of stores, shops, restaurants and businesses here. Obviously, no person truly expects to suffer a debilitating injury while visiting one of these public establishments. Yet, every year, there are thousands of people across the country who sustain injuries in stores and restaurants due to hazardous conditions. If personal injury occurs due to negligence, victims have the option to seek legal recourse.

Shopper suffers debilitating injuries

In another state, a woman filed a lawsuit after she said she fell in a department store and was allegedly injured due to hazardous conditions. According to the lawsuit, the woman was shopping in the store and encountered a slippery substance on the floor. The woman claimed that she slipped the substance, fell on her back and suffered injuries.

Plaintiff seeks monetary damages

The woman said the department store was negligent and is liable for her alleged injuries. The lawsuit claimed that surveillance video showed employees walk past the substance on the floor several times but failed to clean it up. In the lawsuit, the plaintiff seeks compensatory damages and all just relief.

Restaurants, stores and public establishments in the United States should be safe places for all who legally visit. Pennsylvania residents who suffer personal injury due to the negligence of another party can take legal action by speaking with an experienced and trusted attorney. A successfully litigated personal injury claim can provide victims with much-needed compensation to help pay medical expenses and recover lost wages.
